Green thumbing

I spent a few rushed hours after working 4 hours on my day off and waiting for David to get off work at walmart and a few other places gathering much needed items for my graden.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to stick to veggies or do some flowers. I found giant sun flowers and I just couldn't put them down.

So far planted:
Ginormus sunflowers
4 o clock blend flowers
Bell peppers
Radish
Mystery seeds from mcdonalds
( we were giving away seeds and the package came off)
Jalapenos
Tomatoes
Celantrio (sp)

I need a sunny day to come soon, and with the forcast it may be next week that ill be planting green beans, cucumbers and an old fasion garden mix of flowers. I believe that they will look beautiful along the sun flowers. So much for keeping the area bee free!

I really wanted to get out an rake left over leaves but its way to windy and I forgot lawn bags so ill spend this eve with much neede Qt with the pups. They will be snacking on pig knuckles this eve ( yum to them), making tuna fish sandwiches and an ice cold modelo. Maybe watch a movie if nothings good on tv.

Heres to green thumbing!

Life as we currently know it...

I have been staying busy with work ( recieved the beginning paper work for my offical promotion). At home im usually using my foot massager or tending to my tomato plants. I have a bunch of greens popping out & im very excited to see reds soon! I transfered two small plants out by our wire fences that seem to be doing great. They havent got any yellow flowers yet because they are to small but im sure come this fall we are going to have lots of tomatos.

In other news: I have been talking to some friends who foster. Ive always wanted to do this & I do need to find some good books on it. I know Gods in control and even for a breif moment we can be a positive influence on a childs life. Im not saying we are gonna go sign up tomorrow but it is something that I feel God is prepping me for- no matter what red tape or what laws we have to wait to be thrown out ( its going to court soon yay!)- and I want to be prepared. I want us to be prepared. Lots to do & Lots to pray about! Happy week bloggers!

50 Loads of Laundry

I currently work at a Rehab ( not for drugs but people out of surgery) / Living Center. I do laundry now (started doing HSKP) and my days are pretty busy. Its not my dream job (duh?) but theres something promising and refreshing about humble beginings. I get to witness Gods amazing power and plans for my life unfold before my eyes. I love the residents and some of the nurses but I know God has something else out there for me. I pray that everyone who has to start at rock bottom knows what a blessing it is. When we put ourselves on a petalstool God will knock us off & we will be back at square one anway. So as Ive learned this lesson : Let Gods plan in your life be the plan for your life. You will have fewer bumps and bruises on your head and bum. So as I sit writing this in the laundry room I keep glancing at this pile of laundry that needs to be folded and know that this is a test and its my job not to just do laundry but to work unto the Lord.

And then there was Blog....

I decided get in on this blogging trend. I have tried it once or twice and just left it alone (remember Live Journal?)But I feel like theres much going on in my life that is positive and interesting (marrage/country life/living for God). Plus, most of the people I love live 1,000+ miles away. Also, Im attempting to stay off the book of face and finally close my myspace page -which is only open cuz theres soo many pictures on there and need to save them before I do- So let the welcome party begin... Ill bring the party hats. :)
