Dear First Lady

A couple off weeks ago I was asked to say a little something for our churches first lady at their 7 year ann service. I said yes not thinking that I was going to be speaking in front of 100 people. *ahhhh!* But I did good, I made people laugh and I wrote it so it is also the first time Ive read one of my writing in public.

This is what I said:

They say behind every good man is an even better woman. Pastor McMillion you know how blessed you are to have such a storng, faithful, God loving, God fearing woman behind you. We also feel that blessing. It is  a good thing to be a woman. Our loving creator did not choose a peice of Adams head so that woman would be over him, nor did he select Adams foot  so he would step on her. Rather, our wonderful creator choose mans rib, so that woman was take from his side- to be his equal. From under his arm to be protected by him and from newar his heart to be loved by him. We came from that rib to be strong, to protect the best we can. For a good strong rib will take the pressure, take the pain and will break first before it lets harm to the vital organs.

For she is full of love
and when our Pastor married her
was he not directed from above?

While our Pastor is Gods shepherd over the flock
His wife excels in little lambs
we need her just as him
all this is per Gods plan

She stands behind her huuussssband
like a shadow ever there
like fresh air always needed
of which no one is aware

She goes above and beyond
whats neeeded to do
So, all of you members of the church
What I am trying hard to tell

That when God choose this
Pastors wife,
It was for the rest of us as well

Clennis, I love you. We love you. Thank you for being you . May God continue to bless your every days.

I am glad I took that little refresher course on public speaking!
