A few weeks ago, David heard about a concert with Christian bands/groups/solo artist. 10 dollars for 10 bands. Come to find out it was winter jam. I never heard of it, but its pretty popular.
It was an amazing time. So much I can't explain. The move of God, seeing pre teens & teens raise their arms to worship during songs, and getting to spend this time with my bestfriend.
The music was... WOW... from hip hop, jazzy soulful, 80s rock lol, guitar shreds, high notes, dancing, dums, light shows ( even a minor magician), I cant believe it was only 10 bucks!
Then came SKILLET...
The band we all came to see. I love this group but to see their love for Jesus, see them praise was a wonderful to be a part of.
To find out one of my fav women singers plays the drums too!!! Not only does she play them, she kiiiillllllssssss them!
Skillets show was great then the drum stage started moving to center stage, what was going on??? HERO! Davids fav song. When the catchy " i need a hero " started, her drum stage raise and started spinning! The lead singers platform raised too. Fire, booms, lights, and they all stayed on key, hit every note, and wowed us all.
After that song David and I left to beat the crowds & we were parked on the 4th floor. We got out no probs, and made our way to sonic for coffee and breakfast.
I had been awake since 5:30 am for work, and a crazy day of... by the time I got home I was exhausted. But had to get ready because the BOK center doors opened at 6 and it was first come first serve. Ended up being sold out. 19,000 people praising, worshiping our Lord... amazing.
