Portrait of an Adoption

I keep up with Chicago Now through a friend on my facebook ( moms who cuss and swear). While looking through bloggs for entertainment I came across one that really caught my eye about adoption ( and Nov is national adoption month). Its a story about a young girl adopted and not even sure "what" she. As ive said before I am very much for adoption and while God gets myself ready for this journey in my life, I know its Him thats puts little peices like the blog and big peice like the Morgans in my life to better me for it.

Portrait of an Adoption The Adopted Kid

It gave me new insite on what how some children may handle adoption, im sure not all children are the classic text book to how they handle situations in their life and this was a bit differnt. Can you imagine not knowing where you got your eyes from. Not knowing what your ethnic race is?  All that mixed in with being a teenager and figuring life out- wow! I can only imagine. It softens my heart and im sure gives me more patience for the future when I am a mom of a blended family. I knew my family history, I was with my family often and I still had a rough time growing up. A special prayer will always be on my heart for adopted kids everywhere.
